Protesters angry at Governer Gretchen Whitmer's COVID-19 shutdown orders organized "American Patriot" rallies at the Michigan State Capitol this spring. Anti-racism protesters interrupted one rally by lying down together in honor of George Floyd, a Black American killed by police while under arrest in Minneapolis.
